On a brisk fall day Shelby and David said “I do” at the stunning Barn of Chapel Hill! With the pop of foliage and some amazing wind that gave us some stunning veil shots, it was absolutely perfect!
Wild Flora Florist created an incredible flower arch draped with a touch of blue that truly POPPED. How incredible is she? After the ceremony the flowers were removed in bunches and were the reception centerpieces! She blew my mind!
There were so many amazing little details and also some incredibly fun ones! As guests waited for the bride and groom to make their grand entry they did the wave around the room and a cheering contest to see who could be the most festive. I cannot wait to see that part of their video! Another thing that blew us away is how their parents and friends created a flash mob at the reception with a choreographed dance! The couple was so surprised!

How did they choose The Barn of Chapel Hill for their big day?
We found The Barn of Chapel Hill online and immediately set up a tour. We knew as soon as we stepped into the venue that this was the place we wanted to get married. David made the comment on our second visit that it’s a great feeling to come back to the venue and still have the same butterflies in your stomach that you had when we first saw it because that’s how you know you made the right choice.
What kind of atmosphere are you planning for your big day?
We want everyone to be relaxed and enjoy their time celebrating with us. We love spending time with our families and friends and can’t wait to have everyone together for one big party. I want everything to feel romantic and warm.
What piece of advice would the couple share with others planning their big day?
1) You are a team. It’s not a game of tug-o-war between the two of you. When you are both on the same side, you will accomplish so much more. 2) Be honest but kind.
